Repeat Prescriptionsblue_yellow_pills

Annat Bank Practice repeat prescription line has been replaced by a safer online repeat ordering service.

Most surgeries no longer accept repeat medicines requests over the phone due to safety concerns and medication errors, some of the errors encountered have been either because staff have been unable to hear the message clearly or that the spelling of some and pronunciation of some medication can be difficult.

If you are not already registered for this service, please see the website page or contact our reception team for an application form.

The new service is easy to use and is much safer, you no longer need to know the names of all your tablets as they will be displayed on the screen, and all you need to do is put a tick in the box of the ones you require. If you need something that is not on this list, then there is a free text box where you can send a message to our admin team.

Once you are registered, the practice will give you the information that will enable you to create a username and password.

Patients between the ages of 14-16 have the option to allow their parents / guardians to order their repeat prescriptions for them using their parents / guardians email address. Everyone over the age of 16 should use their own email address for this service".

You can order repeat prescriptions either:

  • In person - your repeat slip can be deposited at any of the Montrose pharmacies or in the post box at the practice reception. (this is the form printed on your computerised prescription given to you by the GP.  You will receive an updated one every time you receive a prescription).

or alternatively, you can order via online services (if you are not already registered).

Prescriptions will be sent to the pharmacy of your choice if you have nominated one, otherwise you can collect it from the surgery.

Don't let your medication run out before requesting a repeat prescription.  We are unable to process on demand.

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor or practice nurse at lease once a year to review these medications and a notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Our pharmacist team, is also available to discuss any queries you may havewith medication.

Please allow 48 hours for processing, longer if weekends and bank holidays.
